Recipe & flavour

Recipe: Made with pure butter, juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous apricots, tangy orange and lemon peel, orange oil and plenty of spices: cinnamon, coriander, ginger, allspice, nutmeg and cloves.  

Flavour: Deliciously rich, dark, moist and spicy. The apricots add an extra special taste; the orange oil and orange peel give a citrus zing! But not too strong, still allowing the full flavour of the vine fruits to come through.

Presentation

Packaged in a beautiful keepsake tin, exclusive to Buckingham, decorated with paintings of English village scenes. 155mm diameter and 90mm high.

We regret we cannot deliver on a specific date. If the cake is for a special event (like a birthday) we recommend ordering early.

Shelf Life & Storage

All our cakes are date-marked. Upon delivery, the cake will have a minimum 30 days shelf life remaining. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

All our cakes are hand-made in small batches and then packaged by hand. We will not compromise on the quality of our ingredients. Our philosophy is "quality not quantity". 

INGREDIENTS: Vine Fruits (26%)(Sultanas, Currants, Raisins), Dried Apricots (11%) (Rice Flour, SULPHITES), Mixed Peel (Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Pasteurised EGG, Butter (MILK, Salt), WHEAT FLOUR (With Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Brown Sugar, Humectant: Glycerine, Black Treacle (Cane Molasses, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup), Orange Zest, Mixed Spice (Cassia Cinnamon, Coriander, Ginger, Allspice, Nutmeg, Cloves), Orange Oil, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt. 

No artificial colours or flavours. No palm oil. No alcohol. Made to a nut-free recipe.
